# Delete assistant

> Permanently delete an assistant. Campaigns that use it are deleted with it, and phone numbers routed to it stop answering.

Deletes an assistant. This cannot be undone.

<Warning>
  Deleting an assistant deletes more than the assistant:

  * **Campaigns** that use it, and their contact lists, are deleted.
  * **Phone numbers** routed to it are unassigned — an inbound number stops being answered.
  * Its **tools**, knowledge-base links and SIP credentials are deleted.
  * **Call history** is kept. Past calls stay in your logs with the assistant reference cleared.

  Reassign anything you want to keep before you call this.

## Response

`204 No Content`, with no body.

## Errors

| Code | Status | When |
| - | - | - |
| `NOT_FOUND` | 404 | No such assistant, or it belongs to another workspace. |
| `VALIDATION_FAILED` | 422 | `id` is not a UUID. |
